Equal Opportunities |
The following is an extract from ICCB’s Equal Opportunities Policy:
“Equal Opportunities is an important issue for ICCB, both in the provision of
services and as an employer.
Our Policy is designed not only to comply with the law, but also to ensure a
highly effective workplace for all employees. We intend to achieve this
objective by actively promoting equality of opportunities and by encouraging
and assisting all categories of employees to develop their potential to the
full.
ICCB’s employment policies for recruitment, selection, training, development
and promotion of employees are designed to ensure that no applicant or
employee receives less favorable treatment on the grounds of race, colour,
nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, age, political beliefs,
gender, sexual orientation, marital status, family circumstances, disability,
being a part-time worker, appearance, HIV status or membership of a trade
union.
By acting in accordance with this Policy, ICCB aims to ensure:
- Equality in employment and training opportunities
- A comfortable and safe working environment in which all employees understand
that they have a right to respect and that ICCB will not tolerate
discrimination, victimization or harassment in any form.
- The sensitive and effective handling of such behavior should it arise.”
