About ICCB |
| |
| The Structure |
|
The company is effectively a three-tier organization.
Headed by a President, it branches into seven Vice Presidents. Each Vice
President has been appointed to head a division whose activity is in line with
his experience and qualification.
|
Each division has its own individual support team, and in some cases an
advisory body, which is responsible for coordinating and reporting their
activities to each Vice President. This, to ICCB, is a healthy and effective
way of running the organization and the projects, as it decentralises
responsibility but keeps the entire operation under coordinated review
structure.
|
|
|
At the level of every project execution, all the seven divisions coordinate
and assist each other, through the General Manager in order to offer all the
facilities that are demanded by each project, in order to meet its objectives
and targets. |
|
The monitoring of project performance is reported back to the head of
divisions who are involved, and through the General Manager, the Accounts and
the Legal-&-Contracts departments are participated in order to follow-up
Contractual, Cash Flow and Funds issues. |
|
|
The President, with the views of his Vice Presidents, is the deciding element
in the overall company policy, and the direction to be steered. He is
responsible for the business development.

The Operation |
|
ICCB prides itself in its approach when executing a
project, from its inception to hand-over. It imports and adopts modern
construction procedures and techniques, which are in line with ISO9000
(ISO9001) in order to achieve the objectives. It has its own quality system,
which covers all facets of the company.
|
At the design
development phase, the company works on producing proper and clear
Specifications, Drawings, Schematics and Method Statements of how each
system works and the interface between the systems, as well as risk
assessments. This is an important stage of the project in order to make
clear to itself and the Client of what the project is expected to achieve.
|
|
|
The next phase is
the preparation of working drawings and materials schedules. These are
preparatory steps to facilitate the site personnel with adequate
information to commence work, once mobilized and settled on site.
ICCB recognizes that with the current climate in Iraq, many of the projects
require local input for definition of tasks, objectives and Specification.
Using its expertise in engineering, ICCB endeavours to work closely at the
early stages of the projects to complete the projects requirements regarding
specifications, time scale and level of task interaction.
All designs and construction method are in compliance with the British
Construction and Design Management (CDM) regulations. Furthermore, all
documentations are kept as records, electronically and in hard copies for a
period of 3 years minimum, but not exceeding 8 years.
|
|
The sites are self-catered. Site furnished offices, for the Project Manager
and the engineers, are set-up. Accommodation for the workforce is provided. On
site medical facilities and a canteen are installed on site. Proper and
organised Health and Safety plan is put in place. A health and safety plan is
adhered to and each project |
|
|
has a safety officer reporting
ultimately back to the Vice Presidents. ICCB is proud to declare that it has currently undertaken
in excess of 10 million man-hours of work with zero injuries.
In the view of the security issues and problems, which Iraq is experiencing,
ICCB has allocated a division solely for the provision of a professional and
experienced security apparatus. This is vital in order to provide safe passage
to the workforce. Furthermore, it also deals with the provision of on-site
security for personnel and materials.
Paving the way for smooth and hazard-free operation is the result of the
homogeneous and coordinated effort of the six Vice Presidents, who with the
General Manager reach a very organized and well-planned logistical operation
to secure projects objectives. |
